Mason Filippi Returns to NCTS at COTA with OpenFender
MOORESVILLE, NC: Reaume Brothers Racing is proud to announce that Alamo, California native Mason Filippi will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Circuit of the Americas, partnering with OpenFender. Filippi returns to NASCAR after multiple races in both the former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series during 2022.
Mason Filippi began his career behind the wheel of Mazda MX-5’s, gaining crucial experience on road courses from the age of 15. The experience paid off, opening up opportunities and wins in the Pirelli World Challenge and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
After numerous positive results in multiple road racing series, Mason Filippi is looking forward to coming back to NASCAR. “I am extremely excited to be joining RBR for COTA in the Craftsman Truck Series! Our OpenFender Ford F-150 is ready to take on the competition. The team is putting in great work on and off the track, creating an amazing program. After karting with Josh at the end of last season, I’m happy to be working with him and his team. I’m grateful for the opportunity to jump in a Craftsman Truck again at one of my favorite tracks!”
Josh Reaume, owner of Reaume Brothers Racing, is excited about having a great talent on road courses in the #34. “Mason is an accomplished road racer and we’ve worked very hard to give him a good piece for COTA. Our team has a good track record for success on road courses and high expectations for his ability to produce this weekend.”
Watch Mason Filippi in the No. 34 OpenFender Ford F-150 during the XPEL 225 at Circuit of the Americas, Saturday March 25th at 1:30 PM EST on Fox Sports 1.
OpenFender is the first funding and sponsorship marketplace designed by racers specifically for racers. We’re bringing direct access to racers, fans and sponsors to help grow the sport we love.
Whether you compete on two, three, or four wheels, or tracks and skis; whether you race on dirt, asphalt, or snow; whether you’re starting in karting or are a seasoned competitor looking for the next level, OpenFender is for you.
Mason Filippi designed OpenFender to streamline the process of connecting fans and sponsors to racers and the motorsports market. “How terrible would it be if the next Lewis Hamilton or Ricky Carmichael or Earnhardt is out there but can’t even get into the pit lane because they’re missing the few bucks that a fan would be happy to give?” asks Mason. “By connecting racers, fans and sponsors, the sport grows and everybody wins.”
