From Japan to Daytona

Akinori Ogata isn’t your average NASCAR driver.  Ogata started motocross racing in Japan in 1987, winning 30 feature races. He eventually switched to dirt track racing, racing quarter midgets, and won at Twin Ring Motegi. In 2003, Ogata started racing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock and has competed all across North America since.

Akinori began his relationship with Reaume Brothers Racing in 2020, making two starts with the team at Texas and Phoenix.  Bringing him on board the team has solidified RBR as the most diverse NASCAR team in the garage.
